High Holiday Family Service

5783 / 2022 High Holiday Families & Youth Services and Babysitting

Tikvat Israel is pleased to offer a selection of High Holiday experiences for families and youth. Please note that there is no additional charge for our youth and family programs, but ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. (In keeping with our safety and security policies, we must enforce this policy strictly.) Also, remember that children of all ages are always welcome to join you in the Social Hall for a portion or all of our main service.

Family Services led by “Auntie A”

This musical and story-based High Holiday experience for our families with children 5 and under will be led by the fabulous Auntie A. Older children are welcome to join you or to attend our youth services. Please note that this service is open to the community, so invite your friends (and remind them to register!). This service will begin at 11:00 am on the 1st day of Rosh Hashanah and on Yom Kippur. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Youth Services (1st - 5th Grade) led by Jennie Berger

For our elementary school-aged children, we offer youth services and programming led by our own Jennie Berger. Jennie is a teacher at Milton Jewish Day School and will lead the children in prayers and activities appropriate for the holiday. A light dairy/pareve, nut-free snack will be provided. This service will begin at 11:00 am on the 1st day of Rosh Hashanah and on Yom Kippur. This service is designed for parents to drop off their children while they attend the main service.

Babysitting with Delmi

We provide babysitting for children ages 18 mos – 5 yrs to allow parents to attend High Holiday Services. Delmi Montano, a long-time ECC teacher, will once again be our lead babysitter. Babysitting is available both days of Rosh Hashanah (10:30 - 12:30 pm) and Yom Kippur (6:30 - 8:30 pm, 10:30 - 12:30 am and 5:15 - 7:30 pm). Middle School and High School-aged children are encouraged to attend the main service or may choose to volunteer to assist with babysitting or Youth Services. (SSL hours can be provided.)

Please return this form to the synagogue office by September 12 or register online. Donations to offset the cost of these services are welcome.
