Learn the ins and outs of being a Gabbai at Tikvat Israel! These training sessions are for both experienced gabbaim and those interested in stepping into the role. Learn all of the practices around facilitating Torah readings, including recently adopted changes to promote gender inclusivity.

We will offer separate sessions for: 

• Gabbai Gadol (responsible for assigning honors like aliyot and ark openings) 
• Bimah Gabbai (responsible for calling honorees to the Torah, ensuring accurate Torah readings, and other logistical elements of the Torah service) 

Multiple dates are offered - you need only attend one session for the gabbai role(s) you are interested in.
