As we all know too well, many of the kibbutzim on the Gaza border were horrendously overrun on October 7, resulting in more murdered Jews than at any time since the Holocaust. Yet the heroism of a small contingent of the Kibbutz Gevim Security team saved that community from the kind of devastation that occurred in neighboring kibbutzim. Shachar Gilad, who grew up in Kibbutz Gevim and still has family and friends residing there, will recount this uplifting story of bravery and determination.
